BUSHKILL (AP) – State police say an eastern Pennsylvania man has been killed by a deer that smashed through his windshield and struck the man with its antlers.

Troopers say 60-year-old Wali Bilal, of Bushkill, died on the way to the hospital after the crash about 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Troopers say the incident happened on Route 209 in Middle Smithfield Township, Monroe County, not far from the man’s home.

Police say Bilal’s wife grabbed the steering wheel and tried to control the vehicle, which struck a tree.
