2 min read

While attempting to serve two warrants on a Monessen woman wanted on charges filed by different police departments Monday, Donora police arrested a second woman after finding her with 10 stamp bags of suspected heroin that she planned to sell to pay her bills.

Amber L. Bezy, 34, of 733 Rostraver St., Monessen, was taken into custody on warrants obtained by Donora and Carroll township police for reported thefts in September. Danielle Marie Glesk, 27, of 913 Meadow Ave., Charleroi, was taken into custody on drug charges.

Police had gone to 456 Third St., Donora, to serve the warrants on Bezy after finding her vehicle outside the residence. Glesk told police that she had Bezy’s vehicle. Police said that as they talked with Glesk, she kept her hands stuffed inside her sweatshirt.

Police had her come outside and found the suspected heroin as well as marijuana. She told police that Bezy was at a home in Charleroi.

Bezy was charged by Carroll police with theft from a vehicle, theft, receiving stolen property, identity theft, access device fraud and loitering and prowling at night. She is accused of entering a vehicle owned by Rachel Harper, 968 Route 837, and stealing several pieces of jewelry, an iPod and a purse containing credit cards Sept. 20.

Carroll police obtained video surveillance reportedly showing Bezy using one of the stolen credit cards to make two purchases at a gas station in Monessen. She also reportedly sold the iPod at a pawn shop, using her own name on the paperwork.

Donora police charged her with theft for allegedly stealing gold jewelry, a wallet and credit cards from Chelsea Hill, 221 Waddell Ave., Donora. That theft also happened Sept. 20.

Bezy is accused of selling a pair of stolen earrings at a pawn shop in Rostraver Township.

Both women were arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis. Bezy was placed in Washington County jail on $27,000 bond. Glesk, who is charged with possession of heroin and marijuana, was placed in jail on $10,000 bond.
