Pa. teacher found guilty of sexual contact

1 min read

PITTSBURGH – A fired Pittsburgh high school teacher pleaded guilty to having sexual contact with two female students after prosecutors threatened to have a witness testify that the teacher got tattoos after the encounters to discredit the girls’ claims.

Police said 30-year-old Michael White’s victims didn’t see tattoos. White claimed he had the markings when he fondled a 15-year-old student, and had sex with the other 16-year-old student outside school – after also making her perform lap dances for male students at Perry Traditional Academy.

White pleaded guilty Wednesday after Allegheny County prosecutors told his attorney that a tattoo artist was willing to testify that White got the tattoos after the alleged incidents.

White was charged in February and resigned.

Prosecutors plan to seek “significant prison time” when he’s sentenced next February.
