Police beat Nov. 9
Furnishing alcohol: Ashlend Marie Stavrakis, 19, of 1115 Main St., Burgettstown, was charged Tuesday by McDonald police with furnishing alcohol to minors after she allegedly furnished alcoholic beverages to two patrons under the age of 21 at George’s Bar, 1300 Main St, Burgettstown, on Oct. 10. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.
Man cited: Patrick McKain, no age listed, of 1009 Timber Drive, McDonald, received a citation for a summary offense of disorderly conduct after he allegedly created a disturbance at a polling place in the Iceoplex Tuesday, township police said. McKain was charged after he allegedly accused poll workers of telling voters for whom to vote, police said. He left the polling place and went to the nearby gymnasium area of the Iceoplex in Southpointe, where police located him. He was told to have no contact with any of the poll workers and not to return to the polling place, police said.
Tools stolen: Several tools were reported stolen from Onexx Gas, 131 Plum Run Rd., Thursday, Chartiers police said.
Electrical Fire: The Chartiers police and fire departments responded Thursday to an electrical fire at ARC, 270 S. County Club Road. No injuries were reported.
Assault, mischief charges: Gary Lee Hartle Jr., 27, of New Castle, was charged Friday by Hanover police with simple assault and criminal mischief. He is accused of punching Anthony Tombo of Hubbard, Ohio, and damaging Tombo’s vehicle during a Sept. 28 incident at First Niagara Pavilion. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.
Theft charge: Dawn L. Anders, 46, of 304 Washington Ave., Midway, was charged Friday by McDonald police with theft after she allegedly stole a purse containing $150 and identification from Chelsea Scruppi of Smith Township. Scruppi was a customer at Midway Mini Mart on Aug. 18 and Anders was employed as a cashier at the time of the alleged theft. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.
Terroristic threats: Jason R. Weyandt, 39, of 585 Allison Ave., Washington was charged with terroristic threats and two counts of harassment after allegedly threatening to kill his parents and burn down their home Tuesday through phone calls and text messages, North Franklin Township police said. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Reglinger.
Crash: One person was transported to St. Clair Hospital Monday after a two-vehicle crash at Race Track Road and Casino Drive. Richard M. Kraft, 70, of Pittsburgh, was traveling west on Race Track Road when he reportedly drove through a red light and struck a car driven by Kathleen V. Domain, 78, of Pittsburgh, about 2:33 p.m., North Strabane Township police said. Domain was transported to St. Clair Hospital, which does not release patient information. Kraft was cited for failure to obey traffic control signals.
Hit-and-run: Amanda L. Weber, 29, of Masontown, W.Va., was sideswiped by an unknown driver about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday near the north junction of interstates 70 and 79, state police said. Both drivers pulled over after the accident. However, the driver of the other vehicle left without providing her information to Weber.
Drug charge: Jessica L. Hysong, 36, of Saltsburg, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after Washington police said they found her with seven stamp bags of heroin while outside 126 Hall Ave. on Aug. 31. City police filed charges through District Judge Robert Redlinger’s office on Nov. 8.
Burglary: Between $1,200 and $1,500 in cash and two iPhones were reported stolen from Cricket, 80 N. Main St., Thursday. Police responded after an alarm went off at the store. The loss was estimated at $2,300.
