CANTON, Ohio (AP) – A man was fatally shot and three people were wounded in a parking lot outside a northeast Ohio bar.

Canton police say 26-year-old Terrell Skinner of Canton was killed outside the Whistle Stop bar early Sunday morning. Police found Skinner with several gunshot wounds to the head and body. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Stark County coroner’s office.

Police say three other people were shot and taken to a hospital. Their wounds were not thought to be life-threatening. Authorities say one was shot in the shoulder, another in the leg and a third in the arm.

The police statement says 45-year-old Dwight Ellis of Canton was arrested on charges of aggravated murder and felonious assault. Authorities could not confirm whether Ellis had a lawyer.
