PennDOT announces weeklong schedule
Greene County Maintenance Manager Jerome Simkovic announced the following tentative work plan for the week of Nov. 12. All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting basis. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.
The schedule is as follows:
• Major slide repair is scheduled for Route 4029, WW Railroad Road (Morris Township).
• Concrete pipe replacement activities and the bridge closure and concrete pipe replacement operations continue on Route 221, Lippencott Road (Morgan Township) through projected completion date of Dec. 2. Road remains closed. Drain cleaning and shoulder stabilization will continue along Route 221, Lippencott Road (Morgan Township).
• Shoulder side dozing operations will begin on Route 3006, Dunkard Creek Road from Route 3008, Bloody Run Road and Jollytown Road (Gilmore Township) to Route 3009, Toms Run Road (Wayne Township).
• Manual and Roscoe spray patching will take place on Route 18, from Jackson Township Road T376, Johnson Hill Road to Route 3020, Bristoria Road (Center Township).
• Ditch and inlet cleaning will take place on Route 2011, Bobtown Road, (Dunkard Township) from the West Virginia state line to Route 2018, Kirby Road (Greene Township).
• Manual brush cutting will take place on Route 2018, Kirby Road (Franklin Township), from Route 218, Smith Creek Road (Franklin Township) to Whitely Township Road T493, Rocky Ridge Road; additionally, Route 2021, Bald Hill Church Road (Dunkard Township) to the community of Bobtown (Dunkard Township).
• Patching activities will begin on Route 88 from the Point Marion Bridge (Dunkard Township) to the community of Carmichaels (Cumberland Township).
• Crack sealing will continue South on I-79 from the Waynesburg interchange (Franklin Township) to the Mount Morris interchange (Perry Township).
• Bridge replacement operations will be conducted on Route 18, Golden Oaks Road (Freeport Township), near the community of New Freeport. Traffic is restricted to one lane and controlled by traffic signal. NOTE: This site is permitted for 11-foot wide clearance maximums.
• The Greene County State Correctional Institution’s Community Work Program will conduct roadside litter pick-up operations on Route 18, from the community of Holbrook (Center Township) to the Borough of Waynesburg (Franklin Township). Please drive carefully when encountering this moving operation.
• State roads will be reviewed and signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced, and concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county.

Be aware of an increase in white-tail deer activity throughout the entire roadway grid in Greene County.
