The Washington Observer reports the funeral of John F. Kennedy, November 26, 1963.

The assassination of President John F. Kennedy is one of the biggest news stories of all time. To help put the 50th anniversary of the assassination in historical perspective, the Observer-Reporter is sharing the front pages of the newspaper on the day of the assassination, and subsequent days thereafter.

Back in 1963, the Observer-Reporter was publishing as two editions- The Washington Observer was published in the morning, and The Washington Reporter in the afternoon. Since the assassination occurred at 1:30PM EST, the news made it to The Washington Reporter the day of the assassination, Friday, November 22, and The Washington Observer reported the news the following morning, Saturday, November 23.

Also, there is no Sunday edition, since the Observer-Reporter did not print a Sunday edition at that time.
