Region under high wind threat
The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a wind advisory until Monday morning.
Strong winds, showers and thunderstorms will impact the region late Sunday afternoon through Monday morning. The storms have the potential to become supercells, as well as the possbility to produce tornadoes, large hail and widespread damaging wind gusts.
A wind advisory means that wind gusts greater than 45 mph are expected.
Wind this strong can make driving difficult, especially on bridges and overpasses. The agency also cautions that trees could be uprooted and power lines could come down. Use extra caution.
