Canonsburg police charge four in connection with fight
Four people were charged Friday by Canonsburg police in connection with a fight outside an East Pike Street bar earlier this year.
Charged in the May 5 fight outside McGrogan’s Taproom, 45 E. Pike St., were Thomas Tettmyer, 49, of Gibsonia; Ryan Gill, 23, of 106 W. College St., Canonsburg; Chad A. Cushey Jr., 23, of 910 Regent St., Houston; and Taylor Dino, 29, of 1060 Arch St., Washington.
Police were called to the parking lot outside the bar for a report of a large fight. Tettmyer had been in the bar and was asked to leave after he allegedly called the two bartenders, including Dino, inappropriate names and used obscene gestures. The bartenders had stopped serving him alcohol because he was intoxicated, police said.
Tettmyer went outside to wait for a friend, and police said surveillance video shows him approaching Gill, an employee at the bar who was talking on his cellphone. The two got into a scuffle and fell on a vehicle owned by Patrick Stewart, damaging it, police said.
Cushey is reportedly seen on the video punching Tettmyer in the face, while Dino is allegedly seen striking Tettmyer on the side of the face.
Tettmyer is charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment, public drunkenness and criminal mischief. Gill is charged with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief. Cushey and Dino are charged with simple assault and harassment.
All four are scheduled for a Dec. 11 preliminary hearing before District Judge David Mark.
