Teens charged in library break-in

1 min read

Three Chartiers Township boys have been charged by township police in a juvenile allegation with the burglary at Chartiers-Houston Library earlier this month.

The boys, a 16-year-old and two 13-year-olds, are charged with burglary, conspiracy, institutional vandalism and criminal mischief.

Police said they used a brick to break out a window at the rear of the library at 730 W. Grant St. Nov. 9. The boys entered the building but were scared off when the alarm sounded. They told police they were going to look for money.
