n Action: After discussing the placement of a gate on a private portion of Mt. BlaineDrive during the past several meetings, council agreed to take action to have the gate removed, citing reports from the three emergency services that cover the township of possible response delays.

Council authorized township solicitor John Smith, to seek an agreement with the attorney representing the residents in the matter. If no agreement is reached, Smith has the authority to take the issue to court.

Council voted unanimously to officially change the name of Teaberry, which does not have an official designation as a road or drive, to Teaberry Lane. The road is in the Sienna Woods plan.

The resignation of Jamison Hardy from the youth commission was accepted. Hardy won a seat on the Peters Township School Board in the general election. His term was to expire January of 2016.

The resignation of Marie Legowik from the planning commission was accepted. Her term was to expire in January 2015. Frank Kosir Jr. was approved to replace her with Councilman Robert Lewis voting against the appointment.

Council learned the proposed comprehensive plan will be distributed with hopes to have the plan on the council agenda Dec. 9.
