North Franklin supervisors propose no local real estate tax increase
Local real estate taxes are not expected to increase in North Franklin Township under the terms of the municipality’s proposed 2014 budget of $2.1 million.
The tentative spending plan holds the tax rate at 15 mills and is expected to be adopted when township supervisors meet at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18.
The township police department is earmarked to receive $888,423, the largest share of the budget, which shows North Franklin ending this year with a $680,175 surplus.
The road department is slated to receive $292,260 next year.
