Cars burglarized: Three unlocked cars were burglarized earlier this month in Cokeburg and several expensive items were taken from each of them, state police said. Two GPS units worth $100 each were taken from the first two cars, and $500 in cash was taken from the third vehicle Nov. 9. Anyone with information on the thefts is asked to call state police in Washington at 724-223-5200.

Driver injured in crash: A woman was injured Wednesday when her car was hit from behind on Route 88 in East Bethlehem Township, state police said. Jessica P. Dzamba, 20, of Brownsville, was stopped on Route 88 and trying to turn onto Clyde Way when a vehicle driven by Daniel L. Fulop, 70, of Brownsville crashed into her shortly before noon, police said. Dzamba was taken by ambulance to Washington Hospital, although police did not know the severity of her injuries. Police said they cited Fulop for following too closely.

Mobile home fire under investigation: The state police fire marshal is investigating what caused a fire inside a West Bethlehem Township home early Tuesday morning. State police said two people inside the mobile home at 219 Dobbie Lane were able to escape uninjured after the fire began shortly before 4 a.m. The fire caused about $52,000 worth of damage. The cause and origin of the blaze are still under investigation, police said.
