SELINSGROVE (AP) – Two men were hospitalized after a single-engine airplane crashed at a small airport in central Pennsylvania.

The News-Item of Shamokin reported Saturday that it wasn’t clear whether the pilot in the Friday afternoon crash had been taking off or landing at Penn Valley Airport just outside Selinsgrove.

An airport official told the paper both men got out of the wreckage on their own.

Hospital officials said the two victims were listed in serious condition.

The nose of the plane was crushed against the runway, with bent wheels and damage to the front doors. The right wing was snapped.
