Library to host wine tasting
CARMICHAELS – The Flenniken Public Library board of directors is hosting a wine tasting event at 6 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Carmichaels Fire Hall, 420 West George St.
The event will feature four different wineries: Thistlethwaite Vineyards, Greenhouse Winery, Christian W. Klay Winery and the Ripepi Winery & Vineyard. Guests will have the opportunity to sample the wines from each winery and enjoy a catered dinner by Myers Catering and Decorating of Uniontown.
Tickets are $25 each and may be purchased at the library or from members of the board by Oct. 11. Proceeds will go to support the operating expenses of the library as it carries out its mission to provide access to information, entertainment, and literacy skills to the community.
