Former DEA worker sentenced for embezzlement scheme
A Carroll Township resident and former Drug Enforcement Administration employee on Monday was sentenced after she embezzled nearly $2,000 from the federal agency.
Holly A. Cook, 44, of 119 Donora Road, was sentenced to a year of probation and 50 hours community service after her earlier conviction of theft of government property.
Cook embezzled $1,800 cash from the DEA in June 2012, according to investigators.
Senior U.S. District Judge Donetta Ambrose sentenced Cook and considered her lack of a criminal history and agreement to repay the money she stole.
