Paraphernalia charge: Alayana Weishner-Rush, 20, of 150 Plumpton Ave., Washington, was charged Monday by state police after she allegedly was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia Sept. 8 in the parking lot of Red Roof Inn, West Chestnut Street, Canton. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

School bus crash: Two people were hurt Thursday morning in a chain-reaction crash involving a Chartiers-Houston school bus on Hickory Ridge Road near Seik Road, Chartiers police said. A school bus driven by Lara Snedeker, 42, of 211 Third St. Extension, Houston, was stopped to pick up a student. Police said a vehicle driven by Jeffrey M. Carnahan, 56, of 320 Windsor Circle, Washington, was stopped behind the bus when a vehicle driven by Demetri T. Edwards, 20, of 900 Shady Ave., Charleroi, hit him from behind and pushed Carnahan’s vehicle into the bus. Carnahan and Edwards were taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. Neither the bus driver nor three students on the bus were injured.

Car stolen, recovered: Brenda L. Abbott of 331 N. Main St., Houston, reported her 2005 Ford Escort stolen to Chartiers police Monday morning. The car was later spotted by Abbott in a parking lot on East Pike Street.

TV, clothing stolen: Troy Humphreys of 290 Moon Road told Chartiers police Wednesday that a 42-inch television and clothing were stolen from his home.

Teen jailed: Michael Teerece, 18, of 171 Gallenton Road, Donora, is charged by borough police with theft and receiving stolen property, accused of stealing a bicycle about 4 p.m. Aug. 22 from Dianna Baker, court records show. He is in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set Monday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Survey stakes moved: A representative of Sunland Construction told state police Sept. 13 that vandals moved a set of survey stakes for a gas well right of way. After the area was cleared, it was discovered that the area staked off was not part of the right of way.

One hurt: Susan Balsamo, 41, of 55 Mansfield Road, North Strabane, was slightly injured when her vehicle was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by Stephanie Habe, 33, of 374 Quarry Road, South Strabane Township. North Strabane police said Balsamo was stopped in the left, southbound lane with her turn signal on to make a left turn onto Mansfield when she was hit. Police said Habe will be charged with careless driving.

Burglary reported: David Gray of Monongahela told Southwest Regional police Friday that a house he owns at 17 Mrocheck Lane, Union, was burglarized. Stolen from the house were a hot-water tank, well pump and plastic pipes. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484,

Vehicles entered: Tera and David Barkey of 5217 Lew St., Union, told Southwest Regional police Wednesday that a GPS and small amount of change were removed from their two vehicles, which were parked in their driveway.

Harassment charge: Benjamin James Braddy, 34, of 932 Fourth St., Charleroi, was charged by a county sheriff’s deputy with disorderly conduct and harassment for allegedly yelling profane language at a caseworker inside the county courthouse and following her Sept. 16. According to the criminal complaint, Braddy fled toward Main Street to avoid being apprehended.

Domestic dispute: Jerald W. Allshouse, 40, of 217 East Maiden St., Washington, was charged by city police with simple assault and harassment after he allegedly struck his girlfriend in the face and chest Sept. 23.

Drug charge: Lloyd Woods, 57, of 24 Baltimore Ave., Washington, was charged by city police Sept. 12 for allegedly growing three marijuana plants at his residence.

Three face drug charges: John David Denman II, 18, of 1872 Virginia Via, Washington, and Martin Darrin Joseph, 18, of 1003 South Main St., Washington, were charged by city police after they allegedly were found in possession of a small amount of marijuana Monday at the Uni-Mart on East Maiden Street. Also charged was Ryan Scott Sicchitano, 20, of 174 Country Club Rd., Washington, who police said had a digital scale for marijuana.

Theft reported: A Washington man reported to city police that a tool set and GPS were stolen from his vehicle about 1:30 p.m. Monday outside his residence on West Walnut Street. Police have three suspects.
