District judges recertified
Two district judges and a senior district judge were recently recertified by the Minor Judiciary Education Board after completing legal education course work.
District Judges Curtis Thompson and Ethan Ward, along with senior District Judge Jay Dutton, completed course work that included updates in the vehicle code, civil law, landlord/tenant law, criminal law and other matters that come before the courts.
Thompson’s district includes Beallsville, Bentleyville, Deemston, Ellsworth, Cokeburg and Marianna boroughs and North and West Bethlehem, West Pike Run and Somerset townships. Ward’s district includes Claysville, Green Hills and West Middletown boroughs and Amwell, Buffalo, Blaine, South Franklin, Donegal, Independence, Hopewell, East and West Finley townships.
