Mock crime scene workshop coming to Waynesburg U.

1 min read

WAYNESBURG – The Waynesburg University department of criminal justice and social sciences and the office of admissions will host the annual mock crime scene workshop Oct. 19.

“The event provides potential students the opportunity to experience the hands-on learning that our Waynesburg University students get on a daily basis,” said Adam Jack, assistant professor and chair of the department of criminal justice and social sciences. “It also allows current students to share their experiences with the participants.”

The event will afford high school students the opportunity to analyze crime scenes and collect and process evidence alongside experts in various criminal justice and forensic science areas. The vast array of workshops offered will help students to determine if they can see a criminal justice or forensic science career in their futures.

Every year, typically more than 40 current university students volunteer to help with this event.
