Students of month recognized by club
WAYNESBURG – Waynesburg Central High School seniors Skylar Braga and Aaron Hill have been selected by the high school faculty as Waynesburg Lions Club’s students of the month for March.
Braga, daughter of Melanie and Terry Braga, Waynesburg, maintains a 4.0 grade-point average.
She is a member of the National Honor Society, president of the senior class, member of Alpha, art club, lettermen club, yearbook staff, Italian club and is co-captain of the cheerleading squad.
She also was selected as the varsity track and field MVP, received the Barth Acrobatic Scholarship, and gold and silver key awards in visual arts in the Scholastic Arts and Writing competition.
Outside of school, Braga is a dancer at Moschetta’s Performing Arts Center, attends the Crossroads Youth Ministry and has done volunteer works with the Pittsburgh Project.
Following graduation, Braga plans to attend college and major in pre-medicine.
Hill, son of Allen Hill and Debra Handel, Waynesburg, maintains a 4.0 grade-point average.
He is a member of the National Honor Society, varsity club, Penn Serve, ski club, lettermen club, Spanish club and oracle club.
Hill is a member of the basketball, baseball and golf teams and was recognized with the Fall Scholar/Athlete Award and was named second team all-county for basketball.
Outside of school, he volunteers for the National Honor Society and participates on a summer legion baseball team.
Hill plans to attend Ohio State Univerity and major in engineering.
