Three West Greene students receive honor
ROGERSVILLE – West Greene Area Lions Club named three West Greene High School seniors – Katie Finnegan, Haley Fullerton and Carrie L. Hamilton – as its outstanding students of the month.
Finnegan, daughter of Tammy and Robbie Finnegan of Wind Ridge, is secretary of the National Honor Society, secretary of the science club, a member of student government, senior planning committee and is a class officer.
She has been a mock trial participant, winning two best witness awards, and has been a member of the prom and homecoming courts. She also is a Richhill Township volunteer firefighter.
Finnegan plan to attend California University of Pennsylvania and major in social work.
Fullerton, daughter of Bob and Cathy Fullerton of Aleppo, is senior class secretary, vice president of student government, sergeant-at-arms of the National Honor Society, president of the international club, and a member of the concert, jazz and pep bands, science club and drama club.
She also is drum major in the marching band.
She has received a Presidential Award and an Academic Achievement Award.
Fullerton plans to attend California University of Pennsylvania and major in either tourism studies or musical technology.
Hamilton, daughter of Myles and Trudy Hamilton of Nineveh, is a member of the science club, is a cosmetology student at the Greene County Career and Technology Center, a USASkills member and has received two citizenship awards and a community service award.
She also is secretary of the Morris Township Volunteer Fire Department.
Hamilton plans to attend Penn Commercial College and specialize in nail technology.
