Former Chartiers man’s stepson found dead in Wash. mudslide

2 min read

The body of the stepson of Chartiers-Houston graduate Billy Spillers was found nearly two weeks after the catastrophic mudslide in Washington state, according to a post on a fundraising page setup to help the family.

It was not know when the body of Jovon Mangual was found, but the posting on the YouCaring.com website designed to help Spillers’ wife, Jonielle, and her surviving son, announced his death Thursday afternoon.

“I want to thank you all for your kind words, prayers, and generosity,” Mary St. John wrote on the website. “Jonielle and her family are so grateful for everything.”
