Saccone’s ‘Loyalty Day’ resolution passes House

State Rep. Rick Saccone’s resolution declaring May 1 as “Loyalty Day” in Pennsylvania was unanimously approved Wednesday in the state House.

Saccone, R-Elizabeth, said in a press release that the resolution is for people to “reaffirm their loyalty to (the) United States and to celebrate freedom.” The resolution passed 198-0.

“Loyalty Day is a time when can (sic) express both love for our country and our appreciation to the patriots who fought to make and keep us a free people,” Saccone said in a written statement.
