School retirees plan day trip to Pittsburgh

WAYNESBURG -The Greene County Association of School Retirees is hosting a day trip June 28.

Leaving Waynesburg in the morning, the group will travel to PNC Park called one of “the most beautiful baseball parks in the USA” for a tour of the field, the inner areas of this picturesque stadium.

Leaving PNC Park, the group will visit the Grand Concourse for lunch. The travelers will enjoy shrimp Danielle or lemon chicken surrounded by the marble, brass, mahogany and stained glass of this beautiful old building.

Then, it is off to the Benedum for a live performance of the award-winning musical, “Footloose.

This trip, like all GCASR trips, is open the public. Those making the trip will travel on luxury coach.

Cost for the outing is $125. Reservation deadline is May 5. Reservations may be made by calling Patty at 724-499-5254.
