Police beat April 15
Bar operators cited: The operators of Shenanigan’s Bar & Grill, 921 Amity Ridge Road, Amwell, were cited Friday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly furnishing alcohol to a 20-year-old March 19.
Jewelry stolen: Stacy Loftin of Houston told Canonsburg police Saturday that a cigarette case containing jewelry was stolen Thursday while she was working at Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Teen missing: Christian Moore, 15, of 535 Chartiers Ave., was reported missing Friday to Canonsburg police. He is black, 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 260 pounds.
PFA violation charge: William Harold Ankrom was placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond Sunday night after police said he violated a protection-from-abuse order, according to an affidavit filed in the office of District Judge James Ellis. Ankrom, 48, of 89 Walnut St., Washington, was charged after state police said he was found walking past the house of a woman who has an active PFA order against him at 5:34 p.m. Sunday. He is accused of stopping near the residence on West Wylie Avenue, police said.
Keys missing: Alan Zombeck of 99 Beech St., Muse, reported at 4:10 p.m. Sunday keys he left in a vehicle behind his house three weeks ago were missing, township police said.
Purse stolen: Fawne Nichols of Belgium Hill Road, Cecil, told police she left her purse on the front seat of her vehicle when she parked behind the Iceoplex, 114 Southpointe Boulevard, about 4 p.m. Sunday, and when she returned at 10 p.m., the driver’s side rear window was broken and the purse and its contents were gone.
False tax return: Paul Costello of Weyers Lane told Chartiers police Friday his personal information was used in an attempt to file a tax return.
Attempted break-in: Theodora Lloyd of 40 Pike St., Meadow Lands, told Chartiers police Friday a screen was removed from a window in her home in an apparent break-in attempt.
Two arrested: Lottie May Fields, 33, and Richard Raymond Saniga, 40, both of 216 Station St., McDonald, were arrested Sunday night by McDonald police after they allegedly got into a physical fight at their home following an argument. Both were arraigned before District Judge James Ellis on charges of simple assault and harassment. They were each placed in Washington County jail on $1,000 bonds.
Vehicle damaged: David Kelly of 201 Dickson St., Midway, told McDonald police Saturday his vehicle was damaged when a transformer exploded and part of it landed on the windshield.
Teen charged: A 17-year-old Canonsburg boy will be charged by North Strabane police in a juvenile allegation with simple assault and harassment for allegedly punching his 14-year-old girlfriend in the side while the two were outside the cafeteria at Canon-McMillan High School.
Purses stolen: Township police are searching for three people involved in a retail theft at 1:20 p.m. Saturday at T.J. Maxx, 3945 Washington Road, when several black purses, with a total value of $687, were stolen. A security officer in the store noticed a man concealing the purses in a black duffle bag while a woman stood as a lookout, police said. The couple left the store with the security officer following. The security officer and the man with the bag scuffled before the man and the woman fled to a red vehicle with a Pennsylvania licence plate, police said. A third person was driving. The man who was inside the store is black, heavy-set and wearing blue jeans, a gray shirt and a ball cap. The woman is black, tall and has a thin build. She was wearing white and black pants and a white shirt, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-942-5030.
Drug charges: A police officer who was stopped at CoGo’s, 801 E. McMurray Road, at 8:59 p.m. Sunday spotted beer inside a pickup truck at the gasoline pumps. When the officer approached the vehicle, the four occupants fled. A police dog from Cecil Township was brought to the gas station, and a search with the dog led officers to a Mason jar filled with suspected marijuana, a scale and plastic bags, police said. The first officer at CoGo’s knew one of the people in the vehicle, who will face juvenile allegations of possession with the intent to deliver, intent to use paraphernalia, possession of drug paraphernalia and underage drinking. Police are attempting to identify the other three who fled.
Man charged: Nicholas Coletti, 19, will be charged with criminal mischief and possession of a small amount of marijuana after he and a 19-year-old from McDonald were found on Arrowhead Trail at 2:51 p.m, Sunday with a can of blue spray paint near a bridge where a blue circle was painted, township police said. The other man was not charged. Coletti, of Hycroft Drive, Upper St. Clair, was found with a small amount of marijuana and a smoking pipe, police said.
Underage drinking charges: Mary Krivoniak, 20, of Steubenville, Ohio, and Simon Sayed, 20, of Metamora, Ill., were charged with underage drinking when a vehicle in which they were passengers was stopped on Route 22 near the Bavington exit, Robinson, after McDonald police said they clocked it going almost 80 mph Friday. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of Senior District Judge Jay Dutton.
Warrant arrest: Ronald G. Kraeer, 58, of 212 Fourth St., McDonald, was taken into custody Friday by McDonald police after they received a tip he was at a home at 535 Valley St., Robinson. Kraeer was wanted on a domestic relations warrant. He was arrested and placed in Washington County jail.
Truck found: A 1998 Ford Ranger pickup truck reported stolen to Pittsburgh police by Bernadette Mosey of Pittsburgh was found Saturday by McDonald police on Route 22 at the Bavington exit, Robinson.
Burglary: Matthew Zusinas, 18, of Oakdale, is charged with burglary, criminal mischief and criminal trespass in connection with a break-in at a house on the township portion of Seminary Avenue. Once inside the house, police say Zusinas stole copper and an air conditioner. Zusinas was arraigned and placed in Allegheny County jail. The burglary was reported April 8.
Burglary: A resident of Spring House Place told police when he returned home April 11, he discovered his house was entered and a television and two rings were stolen. The stolen items are valued at $2,300.
Simple assault: Ashley Fuller, 24, of 75 Angle St., Washington, was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness at 6:43 p.m. Saturday at her home after she allegedly struck her boyfriend, Ray Gainey, in the chest and face several times, according to an affidavit filed in the office of District Judge James Ellis. City police said Gainey had red marks on his chest. Fuller yelled and refused to follow orders, police said. She was arraigned before Ellis and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.
Disorderly conduct: Frederick Owens, 20, of 301 Locust Ave., Washington, and Mercedes Stamm, 20, of 220 Onexx Circle, Canonsburg, were cited by city police for disorderly conduct related to a disturbance about 1 p.m. Saturday at the Buy & Sell Outlet on South Main Street. Police said Stamm cursed at the store owner, and Owens shattered the glass counter. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Mower stolen: A man reported to city police that his riding lawn mower was stolen from his yard in the 700 block of Duncan Avenue between April 6 and April 13.
