County Law Day schedule announced
WAYNESBURG – The Greene County Bar Association will hold its Law Day celebration at 10 a.m. May 2 in the Greene County Courthouse.
Keynote speaker Judith Hughes, president of the League of Women Voters of Washington County, will address the topic, “American Democracy and the Rule of Law: Why Every Vote Matters.” Hughes is also the current treasurer of the state League of Women Voters.
The winners of the 2014 Law Day essay and drawing contest will be announced during the celebration. A luncheon, provided by the culinary students of the Greene County Career and Technology Center, will be provided following the Law Day festivities.
