1 min read

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) – A former West Virginia National Guard Armory is up for auction.

The Morgantown property is set to be auctioned on Saturday and, by the afternoon, will likely be in private hands for the first time since the 1800s.

The Dominion Post reports that the more than 5-acre property includes a 50-year old, 21,017 square-foot armory building and a 1,300-square-foot maintenance building.

Officials say that regardless of the winning bid, final sale will be contingent upon city council approval. The buyer will receive a special warranty deed.
