1 min read

YORK (AP) – Authorities said a Baltimore police officer shot a man outside of his central Pennsylvania apartment building and then called 911 to report it.

Thirty-three-year-old John Torres is charged with attempted homicide and aggravated assault.

Thirty-four-year-old David Hohman Sr. of Baltimore was sitting in a car when he was shot multiple times in the arm and torso early Tuesday afternoon. He is hospitalized in stable condition.

York Area Regional Police Sgt. Jeff Dunbar said Torres was off-duty but in his uniform at the time of the incident.

Dunbar said the shooting appears to be the result of a dispute between the two men but he declined to elaborate.
