Body of W.Va. woman found week after alert issued

BELINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — Barbour County authorities say the body of a missing woman has been found in the Belington area.

The Barbour County Sheriff’s Office tells media outlets that the body of 57-year-old Valerie Robinson was found Monday, a week after a Silver Alert was issued for her.

Chief Deputy Brett Carpenter says the body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
