Pedestrian hit by car in Canonsburg
A 70-year-old woman suffered head injuries Thursday night when she was struck by a car while crossing West Pike Street in Canonsburg.
The Canonsburg woman, who was not immediately identified by borough police, was crossing the street near Community Motors in the 500 block of West Pike when the eastbound car hit her about 5:45 p.m.
The woman was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries, police said.
Police said they are investigating the crash, but do not expect to charge the driver.
