Tow trucks honor victim

1 min read

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Doug Brady is a tow truck owner who was one of four people killed during a shooting rampage in West Virginia.

On Friday, he was taken to his final resting place in a hearse – carried by one of his tow trucks.

Rick Morris, who works at Ervin’s Auto Repair and Towing in Morgantown, said tow operators consider themselves a brotherhood like police or firefighters. He called Brady a fallen brother.

Brady was shot to death Monday while working in his garage at Doug’s Towing. Authorities said 39-year-old Jody Lee Hunt, a rival tow truck operator, killed Brady. Hunt also killed his ex-girlfriend, her new boyfriend and his business partner before turning the gun on himself.
