A Washington man died Friday after his vehicle overturned along West Chestnut Street near Shady Lane in Canton Township.

Charles Main, 82, was taken to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh, after his 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier left the roadway shortly before noon, struck a ditch and a guardrail before flipping down an embankment, state police said.

Prior to the crash, Main was traveling west along state Route 40.
