Charleroi man accused of underage sex assault
A Charleroi man is in jail on charges he molested an 11-year-old girl in his care.
The alleged victim told her mother that 51-year-old Jose Ignacio G. Padron of 708 McKean Ave. had forcibly performed oral sex on her and routinely had her run around in her underwear. The latest alleged incident happened Friday. The girl told her mother that Padron asked her to “run around the house in just her panties like she always did,” police said.
In the criminal complaint, police said Padron forced himself on the girl a year ago, but the alleged victim did not report it until Friday. The girl told police that Padron had taken naps with her and had asked to kiss her all over her body.
Padron is in Washington County Jail on $200,000 straight bond and faces charges of indecent assault on a person under 16, corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor and endangering the welfare of children.
Padron has a preliminary hearing Dec. 19 before Magisterial District Judge Larry Hopkins.
