Legion cited: The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement cited the Burgettstown American Legion post, 1526 Main St., with possessing or operating gambling devices or paraphernalia, or permitting gambling on lotteries, pool-selling and/or bookmaking. The charges will be brought before an administrative law judge.
Lewdness, disorderly charges: Johnnie Jay Jones Jr., 25, of 21 E. McNutt St., Houston, was charged Monday by Canonsburg police with open lewdness, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. He is accused of standing in front of a window of a North Central Avenue dance studio and urinating in view of dancers and their parents.
Business cited: The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement cited Big Fellas Pizza, Deli and Wing Co., 45-47 E. Pike St., for operating without a valid health permit or license. The BLCE said the license expired Aug. 30. The charge will be brought before an administrative law judge.
Drug charges: Amber M. Pople, 22, of Washington, was charged Thursday by North Franklin police after she allegedly was found with suspected heroin and paraphernalia, including a syringe filled with heroin and 269 empty stamp bags. Police said they were called the previous day to remove her from a home in the 1000 block of McElree Road after the resident found the suspected drugs. Pople was placed in Washington County jail on a bench warrant.
Bar cited: The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement cited Old Trails Cafe, 669 National Pike East, for failure to comply with a previous order mandating training in responsible alcohol management. The new charge will be brought before an administrative law judge.
Vehicles crash: No one was injured in a three-vehicle crash that tied up traffic Monday afternoon on Interstate 70 at the Murtland Avenue exit, South Strabane. State police said Bette O’Brien, 76, of Eighty Four, failed to stop at the stop sign on the ramp to the highway. Her vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Randall Reese, 59, of North Huntingdon, which then hit a vehicle driven by Haley Renze, 23, of Mt. Pleasant. O’Brien will be charged with a stop sign violation.
Sale to minor alleged: The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement cited Giant Eagle, 331 Washington Road, for selling beer to a minor. The charge will be brought before an administrative law judge.
Yard damaged: Southwest Regional police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that forced a car driven by Larry J. Lutz Jr., 37, of Munhall off McChain Road, Union, and into a yard at 45 McChain. The yard was damaged, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.
Property damaged: A hit-and-run driver veered off Courtney Hill Road about 1:30 p.m. Friday and damaged five fenceposts on property owned by Donald Snee, Southwest Regional police said.
Theft report: A wallet containing $20 and credit cards was stolen about 11:30 a.m. Monday from an unlocked car belonging to Joseph Gill of Washington while it was parked at 44 W. Wheeling St. and he was nearby talking to a friend, city police said.
Disorderly conduct: Damand Henderson, 34, of 1125 Jefferson Ave., Washington, was cited for disorderly conduct after city police said he was intoxicated and causing a disturbance at Chicken Charlie’s at 501 Jefferson Ave. Nov. 21.
