Items stolen: Durinda Patterson, 223 Valley View Terrace, told Canonsburg police Monday a Playstation 2, Nex Book tablet and Samsung tablet were stolen from her home.

Tools taken: Township police said $1,000 worth of construction tools were reported stolen Monday from an apartment on Town Center Boulevard in Southpointe.

Kettle stolen: Sally Schultz told McDonald police Thursday a copper cooking kettle was stolen from the basement of her aunt’s home on Hill Street.

Gas leak reported: McDonald police and Midway firefighters were called about noon Friday after a worker struck a gas line at 153 Midway-Candor Road, Midway. Firefighters were able to plug the leak until Columbia Gas Co. crews arrived on the scene.

Two injured: Matthew Mance, 25, and A.J. Mance, 24, both of Cokeburg, were injured Sunday when the eastbound sport utility vehicle driven by Matthew Mance went into the opposite lane while going around a curve on Route 40 in North Bethlehem, state police said. Mance’s vehicle struck the front of a westbound truck driven by David Yeaples, 53, of East Palestine, Ohio. Mance’s vehicle stopped in the westbound lane. Yeaples rig went off the road and struck guardrails. The Mances were taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. The road was closed until the wreckage was cleared.

TV, items stolen: Lynn Rossero, of 111 Old Meadow Road, told North Strabane police Monday a 32-inch television, Wii video game controller and waterproof speaker were stolen from outside his home Dec. 9. The items were being delivered to his home for his daughter as gifts for his grandchildren. They confirmed the items were delivered by United Parcel Service.

One hurt: Kathryn McCurley, 64, of West Alexander, was injured Monday night when state police said her vehicle failed to stop at the ramp while merging Interstate 70 west at Beau Street, South Strabane, and collided with a tractor-trailer driven by Richard Spence Jr., 43, of Washington. McCurley, who will be charged with failure to yield, was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. Police from East Washington and South Strabane along with South Strabane firefighters assisted.

Two face charges: Stanley Chandler Jr., 27, and Michael Fuscardo, 24, both of 9 1/2 Iron St., Canonsburg, will be charged with retail theft after allegedly stealing 19 items valued at $116 from Wal-Mart, Trinity Point, Monday. South Strabane police said they went through the self-checkout and failed to scan the items before leaving the store. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
