Free holiday escape for families planned
The 2014 holiday escape is a free family gathering for Greene County families, sponsored by the Family Stability community team of the MAGIC collaborative board.
This project is a collaborative effort with support from the Greene County Commissioners and community agencies, including Greene County Human Services, Community Action Southwest, Value Behavioral Health and others.
The 2014 holiday escape will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 29 at Greene County Fairgrounds 4-H Building. All children must be accompanied by an adult. It is recommended that those attending bring comfortable seating, such as a blanket or pillow. “Frozen” will be shown beginning at 11 a.m. A free lunch will be provided. There will be various games and agency information available.
The MAGIC collaborative is comprised of a steering committee and community teams. The purpose of the collaborative is to create an integrated, coordinated community/family based service system to meet the health, education and community needs of Greene County residents.
