Police beat Dec. 21
DUI, paraphernalia charges: Kenisha Joy Brown, 22, of Washington, will be charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop Friday night on Caldwell Avenue, Canton. State police stopped Brown after she reportedly went through a stop sign. She admitted to smoking marijuana and also was found with a marijuana blunt, police said. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Mailbox damaged: Dino Boni, 1953 Brush Run Road, Hopewell told state police Thursday vandals damaged his mailbox.
Hit-and-run crash: Larry Allen Zombeck, 66, of 105 Coal St., McDonald, will be charged by McDonald police with DUI, leaving the scene of a crash, failure to render aid, having an open container of beer and other charges stemming from a hit-and-run crash Thursday on Coal Street. Police said they found Zombeck stumbling on the street. He then tripped and fell. He was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment. Zombeck refused to submit to a blood alcohol test, police said. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of Senior District Judge Jay Dutton.
Arrested on warrant: Kimberly Dawn Reilly, 33, of Follansbee, W.Va., was taken into custody early Saturday on an Allegheny County bench warrant following a traffic stop on West Lincoln Avenue, McDonald police said. She was taken to Washington County jail.
Falls from window: Andrew Edward White, 43, of 970 Fayette St., Washington, was charged by McDonald police with public drunkenness after he reportedly fell out of a window of a building in the 100 block of South McDonald Street Wednesday. White refused treatment for a minor leg injury. He was placed in a holding cell at the police station for about six hours until his intoxication level, which was initially 2 1/2 times the legal limit presumed for intoxication, was reduced since he had no one to pick him up.
Faces drug charges: Karen Franklin, 39, of Duquesne, was charged Friday by McDonald police with possession of crack, marijuana and paraphernalia, careless driving and an equipment violation stemming from a Dec. 14 traffic stop on Robinson Highway, Robinson. McDonald police noticed a brake light was out on her vehicle. Police said they could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle. Police said they found two small bags of suspected crack, two crack pipes and a marijuana cigarette in the vehicle. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of Senior District Judge Jay Dutton.
DUI charge: James R. Ayers Jr., 36, of Robbinsville, N.C., will be charged with DUI after state police found him in his pickup truck stopped in the middle of South Main Street and West Wheeling Street about 2 a.m. Saturday. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
