Police identify driver of crash

1 min read

An Oklahoma man was identified by state police as the driver of a tanker truck that crashed Friday morning on Lindley Road near Amos Road in North Bethlehem Township.

Kimmy L. Harrington, 58, of Norman was driving west on Lindley about 6:40 a.m. when he failed to stay in his lane as he negotiated a bend in the road, state police said. The tanker went off the road, over an embankment and rolled over, coming to rest on its side in a field.

A spokesman for the state Department of Environmental Protection said the truck spilled about 10 gallons of diesel fuel. No waterways were affected.

Harrington was not injured. He will be cited with failing to stay in his lane of traffic, police said.
