Police beat Dec. 24
Endangerment charge: Erica Shae Pardue, 27, of 308 Old West Road, Bentleyville, was arrested late Monday by state police after they were called to her home to check on her four children, ranging in age from 16 months to 8 years. Police said the children were left home alone for 30 minutes. Washington County Children and Youth Services was notified. Pardue was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on a charge of endangering the welfare of children and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Three charged: Marlita Louise Addis, 52, of 911 Shady Ave., Charleroi, and Michael May, 51, and Cynthia Ann Sims, 55, both of 321 Woodland Ave., Charleroi, were arrested Monday night by Charleroi Regional police after they allegedly assaulted one another during a confrontation at 321 Woodland. The three were arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. They were placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bonds.
Drug arrest: Kenneth A. Campanelli, 54, of 145 Highland Ave., Avella, was arrested Monday by the Washington County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver marijuana after he allegedly sold the drug to a confidential informant at his home June 2. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and released.
Driver sought: North Strabane police are looking for the driver of a 2007 Infiniti that crashed about 3 a.m. Monday on the off-ramp of Interstate 79 southbound at Route 519. The driver pulled into a nearby lot, left his car and got into a dark-colored vehicle that headed south on I-79.
Items stolen: Denise Marie Dupain, 28, of 28 Homestead Drive, Avella, will be charged by South Strabane police with retail theft after she allegedly stole $227.14 in items from Wal-Mart, Trinity Point, Sunday. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Theft charge: Christian Jessica Brooks, 28, of Morgantown, W.Va., will be charged by South Strabane police with retail theft after she allegedly stole $322 in items from Kohl’s, Strabane Square. Another woman with Brooks also reportedly stole items but dropped the items and fled when confronted by security, police said. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Burglary: A home on McChain Road in Union Township was burglarized Friday and several rifles were stolen from the residence, Southwest Regional police said.
Assault, trespass charges: Demetrius A. Ellis, 24, of 233 Shirls Ave., Washington, was arrested Monday by Washington police. He is accused of going to the home of Melissa Bebout, 186 Jollick Manor, and assaulting her. He is banned from the housing complex. Ellis was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of simple assault and criminal trespass and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Tanker crash: A tanker truck driver was uninjured Friday when he crashed on Phillips Ridge Road in Wayne Township and his vehicle rolled over. Southwest Regional police said Gail Donner, 67, of Fairfield, Ohio, lost control of the tanker because of poor weather conditions and crashed near Bluff Ridge.
