1 min read

KING OF PRUSSIA (AP) – Police say they’ve arrested a woman suspected of speeding off after hitting a valet with her car outside a suburban Philadelphia restaurant.

Michele Simons was charged Wednesday with driving under the influence, aggravated assault with a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment and other offenses.

Police say the 38-year-old Plymouth Township woman grabbed a cell phone out of a valet’s hand before accelerating and hitting valet Andre Gore outside Seasons 52 in King of Prussia.

They say the impact sent Gore onto the hood and windshield. He was taken to Paoli Memorial Hospital with head injuries.

Police arrested Simon after officers say they saw her driving erratically on Interstate 76 and hitting a parked car at a Burger King in Whitpain Township.

Information on Simons’ lawyer wasn’t immediately available.
