University, library plan fundraiser
WAYNESBURG – The Waynesburg University Bonner Scholars are teaming up with the young adults who attend Bowlby Library’s Teen Advisory Group to sponsor a Philly cheese steak fundraiser for the Eva K. Bowlby Library’s youth events.
One can pre-order and pre-purchase a sandwich or meal at Bowlby Library. Just stop in the library and pay only $5 for a sandwich or $7.50 for a meal that includes cheese steak, fries, a cookie and drink. You can pre-order for your whole family.
From 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 21 stop in at Waynesburg University’s Stover Center’s second floor and the special order cheese steaks will be served to you by the young adults who participate in the T.A.G. program. Customers can also pay at the door that evening.
Arrangements can be made to have cheese steaks delivered.
The proceeds from this fundraising event will help support the library’s After Hours events that are held monthly during the school year, and also help the Teen Advisory Group that meets every week at 4 p.m. Wednesdays.
After Hours events at the library encourages literacy among family members by working together toward a common goal.
The Teen Advisory Group encourages the sharing of ideas for teen programming, and it plans and implements progams as well as participate in volunteering efforts throughout the year.
Teenagers 13 to 18 are welcome to join the group.
