WAYNESBURG – Greene County commissioners Thursday granted time extensions to Widmer Engineering for either preliminary or final design for the replacement of six bridges in Greene County.

The following schedule for the extensions and the location of the bridges is as follows:

• Dec. 31, 2014, for construction and inspection purposes for the bridge over Browns Run in Morgan Township;

• August 29, 2014, for final design for the bridge over Cryanes Run Road in Washington Township;

• Dec. 31, 2015, for the preliminary design for the bridge over Muddy Creek in Cumberland Township;

• Aug. 29, 2014, for the preliminary design for the bridge over Owens Run in Richhill Township;

• Dec. 31, 2015, for the preliminary design for the bridge over Bloody Run in Gilmore Township;

• Aug. 29, 2014, for the preliminary design for the bridge over Roberts Run in Wayne Township.

Also, a supplemental agreement between the county and the state Department of Transportation for the Owens Run bridge was approved.

The commissioner approved the per-diem rate for in-county agency foster families from $17 to $25, and an additional $3 for families caring for a foster child with mental health issues.

In other business, the commissioners:

• Accepted the resignation of Terry Taylor from the Human Services Advisory Board and appointed Donna Dire to fill the vacancy;

• Accepted an award from the State Intermediate Punishment Treatment program for house arrest/electronic monitoring in the amount of $17,421.
