1 min read

The Washington & Jefferson College Energy Lecture Series will resume Thursday following a three-month hiatus. “Thirst for Power: the Nexus of Energy & Water” will begin at 7 p.m. in Yost Auditorium inside the Howard J. Burnett Center.

Michael Webber, an associate professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Texas, will speak. It will be the fourth installment of a series presented by W&J’s Center for Energy Policy and Management.

Diana Stares, director of the center, said Webber will lecture on the vital interdependent link between energy and water and the importance of bringing together financing, policy-making and oversight to maximize use of those resources.

His lecture will be free and open to the public, but registration is requested.

The series will conclude March 26 with “A Vision for Coal.”
