Students of month named
WAYNESBURG – Waynesburg Central High School seniors Jenna Henry and Jacob Berry have been selected by the high school faculty as Waynesburg Lions Club’s students of the month for January.
Henry, daughter of Cherie and Jamie Henry of Waynesburg, maintains a 4.0 grade-point average.
He is a member of the National Honor Society, varsity club, 4-H Market Lamb Club, SADD, and is president of the school’s FFA chapter. Also, Henry is a four-year letterman in softball.
She has received the Daughters of the American Revolution Award as well as several academic excellence awards.
Outside of school, she helps coordinate and participate in the “Empty Chair” services through the Greene County district attorney’s office.
Henry plans to attend West Virginia University and major in engineering.
Berry, son of Todd and Cathy Berry of Waynesburg, maintains a 3.9 grade-point average.
He is a member of the National Honor Society, is captain of the varsity football team and volunteers for Relay for Life.
A member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Berry plans to attend Waynesburg University and major in pre-med.
