1 min read

WAYNESBURG – An accident on Love’s Hill resulted in a diesel fuel spill early Friday morning.

State police said a gas company truck failed to negotiate a turn from Ridge Road onto Route 21 shortly after 8 a.m. striking the guardrail. The impact caused a guardrail post to puncture the truck’s diesel fuel tank, causing its contents to spill onto the roadway.

The Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department and an environmental cleanup company assisted state police at the scene. The spill was cleaned up by 11:30 a.m.
