Worker injured at Donegal Township gas well site
A worker was injured Tuesday afternoon when he was struck by a piece of heavy equipment while working on a gas well site in Donegal Township, an Occupational Safety and Health Administration official said.
The man, who was not identified, was struck about 3 p.m. at the well site near Toll Gate Road, said Christopher Robinson, director of the OSHA field office in Pittsburgh.
The severity of the man’s injuries and what hospital he was taken to for treatment were not released. Robinson said OSHA is just beginning the investigation and he did not know what struck the man or what company employed him.
