JEFFERSON – Jefferson-Morgan High School graduates Kraig Davis and Olivia Wagner were presented the Kormuth Award of Achievement.

This award was established by Mathias and Rosetta Devito to commemorate and mark the appreciation of the Cyril and Julia Kormuth family of Clarksville, five members of which graduated from Jefferson High School. This award is for $2,000 per year for four years for each student.

Davis is the son of Richard and Cindy Davis of Rices Landing. An active student, Davis was a member of the marching band for which he served as drum major for the past two years. He was also a member of the concert band, Waynesburg University’s Symphonic Band, County Band, County Chorus and drama. He served as president of the National Honor Society, the Leo club, the foreign language club and as vice president of student council.

He also received the following awards: U.S. Marine Corps Semper Fidelis Award, the STEM Award from the Challenge Program, Keystone Achievement Award, Tri-County Counselors Scholarship and was named a Lion’s Club Student of the Month.

Davis will be attending Kenyon College where he was awarded Paul Newman’s Own Scholarship. He plans to pursue a degree in modern language.

Wagner is the daughter of Dan and Karole Wagner of Rices Landing. She was an active member of the marching band, color guard, art club, Leo club, debate team, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, chorus, County Chorus and the foreign language club.

Wagner was the recipient of the Ralph K. Bell Bird Club Scholarship, the Chapman Family Scholarship, the Renardo A. Matteucci Family Scholarship, the Dove Award, the Keystone Achievement Award, the Clarksville Area Lions Club Academic and Community Service Award and the Ross M. DiMarco Scholarship.

She will be attending Mercyhurst University, where she was awarded the Mother Borgia Egan Scholarship. Wagner plans to study fashion merchandising at Mercyhurst and will also study at the Fashion Institute of Technology her senior year.
