A.C.T.S. Shop offers affordable items
CARMICHAELS – The A.C.T.S. (Arts, Crafts, Talent, Service) board recognized its volunteers with an appreciation luncheon last month in the fellowship hall of Carmichaels First United Methodist Church.
The A.C.T.S. Shop is housed in facilities at the church and it provides a venue for area crafters to sell their crafts on consignment. It is also home to a thrift store that sells gently used clothing, shoes and small household items, donated by area residents at very reasonable prices.
This ministry is heavily dependent on the generous support of the volunteers who give their time to work in the shop.
The shop is open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Craft items include homemade cards, jewelry and many other items. New crafters and donations of gently used clothing items are always welcome.
