Beth–Center raises taxes 2 mills

Bethlehem-Center School Board raised real estate taxes by 2 mills Wednesday in order to balance the district’s upcoming budget.

The $17.7 million budget for the 2014-15 school year is nearly $500,000 higher than the budget for the current fiscal year, district records show.

The tax increase raises the total millage to 108.64 mills.

The budget earmarks $10.2 million for instruction and shows state revenues set at $12.3 million.
