Police beat June 28
Arrested in traffic stop: Joshua Hartley, 34, of 23 Oak St., Beallsville, is charged by borough police with drug possession, driving with a DUI-revoked license and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records state. Police accuse him of having several bundles of suspected heroin and a small amount of marijuana during a traffic stop about 11 p.m. Thursday at Pennsylvania and Wood streets. He is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Arrest warrant: Canonsburg police arrested Jonathan J. Kidder, 29, of Pittsburgh, on a warrant from Allegheny County during a traffic stop at 617 W. Pike St. about 4 p.m. Thursday. Kidder is being held in Washington County jail.
Man jailed: George A. Linneman, 43, who police said is homeless, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with failure to comply with the sexual offender registration law after being convicted of indecent assault in May 2005, court records state. Police accuse him of registering an address on McKean Avenue in the borough, when he isn’t permitted to live there. He is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Welding cable stolen: More than 200 feet of welding cable worth about $800 was reported stolen Tuesday night from a detached garage at 55 Meyers Road in South Strabane, township police said.
Vehicle entered: A wallet was stolen about 2 p.m. Thursday from an unlocked pickup truck in the Strabane Square shopping center lot, South Strabane police said.
